About MUNEX

The Model UN Society has, since 2008, organised its very own Model United Nations Conference (MUNEX). The conference has quickly developed and it is now affirming itself at a national and European level. Due to the unique focus and world-class expertise provided by the Human Rights Centre each year, the conference is comprised of the simulation of the UN Human Rights Council. The format of the MUNEX conference appears to be unique from other conferences the society has attended as it includes talks/panels/workshops that are organised throughout the 3-day conference, in addition to the simulation with the idea that participants will deepen their substantive knowledge and understanding as they embark upon and engage in debate. This format has proven to be extremely effective during the past MUNEX conferences which in turn tackled the issue of ” Human Trafficking,” “War on Terror, War on Human Rights” and Contemporary Forms of Discrimination.
